Comfort Measures Class 3 hours $65

This class will give you practical hands on tools to help during labor and birth. Since women respond differently to labor, we will explore a variety of coping strategies such as relaxation and breathing techniques, massage, positions including creative ways to use a birth ball, stages of labor and much more. Partners will learn valuable techniques for being a great support during labor and birth. Participants will also create their own birth labyrinth, to use as a visualization tool.

Hypnosis is a powerful tool in helping to minimize pain and fear which has been shown to shorten the length of labor and decrease the likelihood of interventions. Participants in this class will learn about nutrition, exercise, and birth planning while birth partners will learn how to lend support with hypnosis. This series is designed to teach participants how to incorporate Hypnobabies into their subconscious to eliminate pain associated with childbirth. At the end of this class, participants will undergo a birth rehearsal that will build confidence by showing you how to implement Hypnobabies skills into your birthing time. Cesarean section is the most commonly performed surgery in the country, yet it is often shrouded in mystery. This class will provide expectant parents with information on everything from the discussing the decision with their doctor to bringing baby home. Some topics that will be covered are:

Calm Birth 5 hours Price: $120 Class fee includes a Calm Birth CD
Calm Birth prenatal classes focus on the use of three meditation practices and teach women how to use their innate healing abilities. The program encourages natural childbirth, however, the practices are especially beneficial when medical interventions are used during childbirth. If medical interventions are used, the method works with current childbirth medicine to raise the quality of the birth and heal negative side effects. The practices work together to offer stress reduction, immune support, hormone balancing and ease of labor. This unique class blends hands-on classroom instruction with the Calm Birth CD to be listened to in the privacy and comfort of home. Welcome your personal connection to your pregnancy, baby, and upcoming birth through self-exploration and inquisitive conversation, yoga, and prenatal communication.
Explore questions such as:
- What is the spirit of your birth?
- what is this child teaching you from conception and pregnancy?
- What are the places that scare you?
Utilize yoga asana and breath to relax, open, and strengthen the body. Guided relaxation/meditation will help you to open channels of trust and awareness. Prenatal communication is offered to invite a deeper connection between mother and baby, allowing baby's unique voice to be heard and providing further intuitive guidance. Journaling exercises will be offered to participants as well.
This class is offered to expectant mothers at any trimester, pre-conception, first or subsequent pregnancies.

Empowered Birth (aka PoP II) 2.5 hours Price: $75
A gathering designed to assist you in harnessing your pregnancy to ignite your birthing instinct and empower your path.
We will explore questions such as:
- Who is your community?
- Who or what influences your views about your body?
- Who or what influences your views about birth?
- What feelings are creating conflict for you at this time?
- How does this pregnancy change the direction of who you presently are? Or, another way to ask this question, How does this pregnancy challenge the notion of who you are?
This is an invitation to connect more deeply with your baby in-womb, to understand his/her unique energy and personality, and feel what this child is directing in terms of your self-growth.
Additionally, we will explore yoga asana, breath, meditation and sound to help relax and open the body as well as affirm your resolve. Facilitated energy work and prenatal communication will be offered to participants.

Transcendent Birth (aka PoP III) 2.5 hours
A prenatal workshop designed for those who feel guided to explore the transcendent nature of the spiritual journey through the landscape of the birthing experience.
This gathering will be intimate and evokes a safe and sacred space to delve deeply into paradigms about roles and events. We will find the essence of personal transformation through asking:
- What themes come forth during this pregnancy for you, and in preparing for birthing this baby?
- Where else in your life and your history/herstory do these themes show up?
- Whose voice do you hear in your fears and stuck points? How do we imprint the words or beliefs of our families of origin, society, or culture?
- In ideal circumstances for you, outside of time and space, how do you envision your birth?
- How can you harness these awareness to transcend self limitation?
- How do you align with open and expansive natures of your pregnancy?
- How is your baby-to-be's unique energy imprint/soulular connection guiding you in this process?
This class has a substantial focus on hands-on energy work and prenatal communication.
Although this class series is not sequential, there is a prerequisite of either Illuminated Birth or Empowered Birth to attend this session.

Re-Birth 2.0 hours
A holistic postpartum gathering, open to all new mothers, including previous participants of the Illuminated Birth workshop series.
We will explore questions such as:
- How did your conception, pregnancy, labor and birth prepare you for this child?
- How did your child prepare you for your parenting?
- How are you reading or intuiting your child?
Mamamorphosis 2.0 hours
Join together with other mamas to explore the changes borne of motherhood. Discuss the differences between "Life as you knew it then" and "Life as you know it now".
We will open a dialogue among participants that investigates how our own experiences being parented inform our parenting. What feels like it is working? What areas feel different than expected?
Participants will receive tools to help the self-discovery process, as well as share tips and tools with one another to help the self-mothering process.
Breastfeeding Basics 2 hours Price: $55
Babies are born to breastfeed and this class offers a solid foundation to get expectant parents off to a great start. Learn about the many benefits for the whole family, the importance of nutrition for a healthy child, latching and positioning techniques, identifying and preventing common problems as well as how to establish your milk supply. .

Breastfeeding, Pumping and Returning to Work 2 hours Price: $55
This class is essential for any woman who would like to develop a successful nursing/pumping schedule for planned separations or is planning a return to work.
developing a strong foundation will ease the often difficult transitions for both mother and baby. This class will provide mothers and other caregivers with the knowledge they need to ensure long-term success with breastfeeding. Participants in this class will learn successful strategies for strengthening and maintaining their breastfeeding relationship through exploration of the following topics:
- Understanding the basics of pumping
- Developing a nursing/pumping routine
- Introducing the bottle (if desired), storing and stockpiling your milk
- Equipping caregiver(s) with proper techniques for feeding and soothing your baby
- Communicating with your employer about your plans and needs (and
knowing your rights)
- Managing the day-to-day aspects of pumping at work
- Overcoming roadblocks and obstacles, including low milk supply,
pressure to supplement, and extended separation.
As this class is designed to create the foundation for an easy and successful
transition back to work; participants are encouraged to take
this class early in the postpartum period. Nursing infants and a secondary caregiver are welcome in this
class.

Infant Nutrition 2 hours Price: $55
This two hour class introduces caregivers to nutrition for the first year of life. Includes such topics as:
- Nutritional needs of the newborn
- Healthy eating for the breastfeeding mother
- Proper bottle feeding techniques
- Food allergies and intolerances
- Food safety
- Introduction of pureed foods and the progression to solid textures
- Benefits of breastfeeding into the 2nd year
Sample meal plans for mother and baby as well as recommended reading lists are provided. This class is appropriate for both breast and bottle fed infants.

Infant Massage
Did you know one half hour of massage could alleviate the negative effects of 8 hours of separation felt by both parent and child?
Infant Massage has been used for centuries in many different cultures. Just a few minutes with the right techniques have been shown to increase relaxation, sleep, and growth and support immune system response!

Introduction to Infant Massage

In this introductory class, parents and caregivers will learn basic massage techniques for their baby over the course of two (2) sessions. The instructor will demonstrate techniques on a life-like doll while the parents massage their baby, thus ensuring that the parents become comfortable performing the massage techniques and adapt the techniques as needed for their baby. Some of the many benefits that can be expected following this course are:

Advanced Infant Massage

Building on the techniques learned in the Introduction to Infant Massage Classes, participants in the Advanced class will expand their skills and knowledge of Infant Massage by learning more complex massage techniques which will help alleviate gas and constipation. During the two (2) sessions, parents will have the opportunity to share their experiences and challenges with the instructor, for a customized approach to their babies unique needs. Some of the advanced Issues addressed in this class are:
- Reliving of constipation and gas
- Increasing oral-motor control for babies with breastfeeding/nursing issues
- Massage techniques to boost and stimulate immune system
- Improved sensory awareness of your baby's body
- Decreased stress for both parents and baby

This class helps new mothers rejuvenate and tone their post pregnancy bodies, bond with their babes & meet other moms too! Classes teach Pilates exercises that will gently restore core strength, pelvic floor, postural alignment and balance; and also a variety of resistance training exercises that will strengthen muscles in the upper and lower body to help moms keep up with that growing baby! Acupressure and Natural Remedies for use during Pregnancy, Childbirth, and Postpartum
A workshop series for expectant moms and their partners! This class will teach you simple and powerful ways to provide energy and comfort, combat common pregnancy symptoms, relieve pain during labor, and recover after birth. Acupressure, meridian massage, exercises, stretches, and diet will be discussed. You will receive individual hands-on instruction locating and using appropriate acupressure points. You and your partner will leave with a handout detailing each pressure point for easy reference.
